Highland Farm is a small, private Reg. Quarter Horse breeding farm located on 72 rolling acres in Merrimac, Massachusetts approximately 1 hour north of Boston, MA. and 45 minutes South of Kittery, Maine.

Highland Farm is home to Jane Curry Smith , her husband Robert, Black Labrador dog Katie & 13 beautiful Registered Quarter Horses.

Jane has been passionatley involved in the Horse world since 1972 starting with her first horse named "Naragansett".

Highland Farm currently owns and has owned many AQHA World & Congress Champions, including Berry's Image , Chipariffic and AQHA Stallion Chips Hot Chocolate.

Jane & Robert recently sold their Stallion Chips Hot Chocolate back to Jane's long time friend Ann Myers in Ashland, OH. Ann is the owner of AQHA Stallion Zips Chocolate Chip. Jane originaly purchased "Hot Chocolate" as a 3 month old from Ann in 1990.

The name Highland Farm has been in the Smith Family since Robert's family raised Holstien cows while he was growing up in Merrimac. The name Highland Farm followed Robert & Jane into their own marriage & their horse breeding ventures.

Robert has devoted life time efforts to the up keep of the many acres of rolling Hay fields that surround Highland Farm. Robert & Jane do all their own "haying", and you will often see them together out in the fields in the summer on the tractors.

Robert is also affectionately known around town as "The Wood Guy". Robert works his firewood all day long and each morning heads off early with a new load of wood to his ever growing stream of steady customers along the North Shore. Anyone driving along Highland Road and passing Highland Farm can not miss the many large perfectly stacked rows of firewood that Robert has stacked and drying out all year. You will see Robert out cutting, splitting and stacking his wood regardless of weather conditions. Be sure to "honk" your car horn as you drive by.....you will be sure to get in return a big smile and a hearty HELLOOOOO. Just another day at Highland Farm.

When Jane is not showing & catering to all the horses she is at work at Riverview Trailers Sales. Riverview Trailer Sales is owned and operated by Jane & her father George Curry. Jane & George have been in horse trailer sales and service for over two decades at the same convenient location in Merrimac, Massachusetts, just off Interstate 495.
